Remove Door Panel Legacy 2012

Pull the door panel straight out with your hands to remove it.

Pry the snap retainers out of their seated position. Support the lower trim panel by hand near the glass. Remove the pull handle cup. The oem door speaker is held in place to the frame by four torx t20 star bit screws.

Use a small screw driver or trim removal tool and detach pop off any trim pieces above the door panel. Here is an upper trim piece to the left of the panel. Move the tool towards the hinge area and repeat while holding the loose portion away from the door. There are snap retainers under the door panel that hold it in place to the door frame.

Disconnect the small plastic connector clips holding the door panel in place by pulling the door panel straight out using 1 swift motion. Set the plastic door panel aside in a safe place. 4 torx t 20 speaker screws. Press the release tab on the grey plastic electrical connector and pull it straight out of the socket on the bottom of the switch panel. Most door panels will have small trim pieces located at the top of the panel at either the right or left side.

The clips will unsnap and the panel will come right off. Lower the trim panel from the liftgate. Begin to pry the door panel away from the frame starting at the bottom and working your way up each side. Pry against the metal portion of the door until you feel the fasteners pop.
